About

Welcome to FoodFacts.org, where our mission is to demystify the food system, break down what's in your food and debunk diet myths.

We believe the public have a right to be protected from nutrition and food system misinformation.

Our Mission

Every day, food misinformation floods our feeds, shaping what we eat, how we think, and ultimately, how healthy we are.

It’s not just noise, it’s a public health hazard. Misinformation about food and nutrition is killing people and costing society billions annually.

Despite having rigorous science and credible data at our fingertips, the truth is losing the battle for public attention.

That’s why we founded The Freedom Food Alliance. Our mission is clear: to fight back with the same tools that made misinformation so successful. We use compelling, digital-first storytelling to deliver fact-based, expert-backed information to the very audiences being misled.

At the heart of our work is FoodFacts.org, a bold platform combining expert review, accessible content, and viral media strategies. It’s a myth-busting machine created by a team of scientists, communicators, and creatives led by me, Robbie Lockie, and cofounded by Isabelle Sadler and Dr Elise Hutchinson, PhD with an advisory board of over 60 experts, we make sure what we say is true, and that it gets heard.

We believe that everyone has a right to honest, transparent information about their food. That belief powers our campaigns, partnerships, and public engagement. But we’re not here to politely correct falsehoods, we’re here to compete for the narrative. Because if we don’t, misinformation wins. And we all lose.

Now is the time to act. Governments, funders, and changemakers must recognize the urgency. Traditional communication methods are no match for modern disinformation. It’s time to fight fire with fire—and build a better-informed future, together.

Join us. Let’s change the story of food—for good.
